02.29.08Becca Traber Wins Georgetown Round Robin
Victory Briefs Daily (0)WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Georgetown Round Robin featured a diverse field of twelve competitors. Advancing to the final round from the “Hoya” and “Saxa” pods, the Kinkaid School’s Becca Traber defeated Lindsay Dolan in the final round on a 2-1 decision to win the round robin. This second annual round robin precedes the first-ever Cherry Blossom Tournament in Lincoln-Douglas debate. This was, in the words of Tom Rollins, a “Texas on the Potomac” tournament, as the top speaker award went to Lindsay, and the second speaker award went to Becca. — FINAL STANDINGS 1. What is Loquitur? …a brand-new Internet podcast dedicated to interviewing academic and professional experts on current National Forensic League debate topics for the free educational benefit of high school students competing in Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum Debate. They have launched with two recordings complete. The first podcast talks about the goals and objectives of Loquitur.
